Our Children's Book is releasing soon! Stay in touch so you don't miss it!
You throw a party and invite me. I bring art supplies and teach you and your friends or family or coworkers how to paint something.
We can paint any subject that interests you (within reason...I reserve my right to refuse any subject matter I deem, in my sole discretion, to be unsavory, inappropriate, or just generally not OK with me). Check out these paintings I have taught in the past. Feel free to pick one of those or tell me what you want to paint and I'll come up with something new for your group (no extra charge)! There is usually at least one person at a paint party who does not want to paint what I'm teaching. No problem! That does not bother me in the least. I want everyone to leave with a painting they are happy with.
I can instruct up to 20 people at a time, and up to 10 of those painters can be under the age of 15 (it gets too crazy when you have more than 10 kids painting). No kids under the age of 8, unless we've discussed it and agreed otherwise. Minimum 4 painters. Like any class, a smaller class size means a calmer teacher and more one-on-one instruction. Contact me for exceptions; I'll see what I can do.
Tip culture is awkward and lame. Tips are never expected but always accepted.
I provide everything but tables, chairs, and tablecloths or drop cloths. While I do provide cups to hold water used to wash brushes, I will need a water source to fill up those cups. If that is not possible (e.g. we are painting en plein air), let me know ahead of time so we can make other arrangements. See more specifics here: what to expect at a paint night.
I bring 8"x10" canvases for all the painters. That is what my pricing is based on. If you want to do something bigger, smaller, rounder, etc., let me know and we can figure out a good price.
I am located in northern Utah and am available for parties in Utah and Salt Lake counties. I am not with a studio or event center at this time, so I come to you!
Evenings are usually my only available times, except on Saturdays--Saturdays I can do daytime. But as always, just contact me and let's see if we can work it out! I do not do paint events on Sundays.
I do not provide any food or drink, but I have no problem with you serving food during the paint party. Some alcohol is OK but PLEASE do not get unruly. Drunk paint nights might sound fun to you, but I DO NOT enjoy them. I reserve the right to ask painters to leave or to end a paint party early (without any refund) if I feel that any painter is being disrespectful to me, my materials, or other painters.
